I don't know why it took us...ME...all week to realize that the way to beat the heat during the first part of the month was to go to the beach. What a much needed break it was from the constant work that seems to happen all the time at out house! But the addition is almost done! The list is getting much shorter...however I keep finding more and more things to add to it before #4 arrives! Justin says I must be in "mama mode". I guess that is his word or "nesting", which I am definitely experiencing. 
I love going to this beach, it is one that we frequented growing up as my Dad built most of the seawalls in front of the houses at this beach while I was growing up. I wasn't much for bending over to explore the tide pools this time around...but I loved watching Justin, the girls, and Quentin find things. There were lots of crabs, a bunch of little shrimp and Lainey even found a baby stingray...definitely a first! They ended the night but taking the girls out to jump waves while holding them on their shoulders.
I need to remember to make more time for things like this in my life...
to just forget everything that needs to be done at home and
spend quality time together.
